Course Recommendations for the First Term

Freshmen may select four or five courses for their first term’s enrollment. No freshmen enters with a declared major, however, below are the recommended courses for planned majors. Please consult with an Advisor in the Center for Advising about placement or course permissions as needed.

  • The * symbol denotes that ENG 110/120 must be completed in the first year, but not all students need both classes. See Placement Criteria to determine whether or not you need ENG 110 before ENG 120 (Composition).
