Advanced Certificate in Health Care Analytics

The Advanced Certificate in Health Care Analytics emphasizes the fundamental transformation occurring throughout the industry and the necessity of business leaders, managers and executives to adopt quantitative decision making skills in a unique industry and business environment. Recognizing the importance of ‘Big Data’ brought about by the implementation of Electronic Medical Records HITECK Act and other initiatives, there is recognition that Population Health and Healthcare Value (Risk) are altering the tools and methods necessary throughout the management field. Drawing upon Information Systems Technology, sophisticated mathematics and the mining of huge repositories, students develop an understanding of the sources and quality of data resources, the management and mining of data repositories and the quantitative techniques to answer fundamental management questions of today and tomorrow. Built upon Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive modeling techniques and other methods the managers and executives of tomorrow will be able to recognize and develop the appropriate questions and answers needed in this fundamentally changing environment.
