Study Spaces

In an effort to create a respectful and pleasant environment that is suitable to a variety of learning styles, the Library has designated quiet study, silent study and group sudy areas. Signs are posted at the entrances to each designated area.

Quiet Study Areas

Speak quietly and keep conversations brief, please be considerate of others.

  • 1st Floor Reference Room (furnished with computer workstations, comfortable seating, study carrels and tables)
  • 1st Floor Information Commons South (furnished with computer workstations, tables and comfortable seating)


 

Silent Study Areas

No talking or conversation allowed.

  • 2nd Floor West (furnished with study carrels and comfortable seating)
  • 3rd Floor West (furnished with study carrels and desks)
  • 2nd Floor East (furnished with study carrels and comfortable seating)
  • 3rd Floor South (furnished with study carrels and desks)

 



Group Study Areas

Talking and conversation allowed. Please be considerate of others.

  • 1st Floor Reference Room Group Study Tables (located between the area outside Romita and Research Desk)
  • 2nd Floor South/Br. Charles B. Quinn Collection (Irish Collection) (furnished with study carrels, tables and comfortable seating)


 

Arrigoni Library and Technology Center

Conversation is allowed but please be considerate of others.

 


 

Library policies for all study areas:

  • No cell phone use except in designated areas
  • Absolutely no game playing
  • No food allowed except for cafe area, closed beverages only
