Spring Break in Athens and Fine & Performing Arts Course Credit!

Come earn credit for your FPA requirement in Athens studying the fundamentals of the Ancient Greek Theatre. Study of the origins of the theatre of ancient Greece, important playwrights, theatre innovations, ancient Greek theatre structures, performance styles in the classical and Hellenistic eras, and modern Greek adaptations will be explored and discussed. The production elements that are seen in the works of ancient Greek plays and ancient Greek theatres will be discussed and identified by using examples from plays, videos and through attending performances Greek dramatic works. street in AthensCoursework includes lecture, discussion, writings, readings and presentations. Required attendance of one Athens production and one New York City production.
