What was the scariest part about thinking about study abroad? What were you worried about before you left?
Before leaving for study abroad I was most worried that I wouldn't fit in with my group or with the people in Barcelona.
What was the best part about studying abroad?
Ironically enough, the people in my group and within Barcelona were my favorite part of the trip. The people of Barcelona were incredibly welcoming and there were many opportunities for my group and I to bond. I have memories of the city that I will never forget.
What would you say to someone who wasn’t sure about studying abroad?
If someone wasn't sure about studying abroad I would say it is more than worth it. You are definitely getting a full experience for all that you are paying for, and I don't think there is any better way to learn about a city than to live there and explore it with experts who also live there.
If at all, how do you think studying abroad changed you?
I think studying abroad has made me a more bold person. I am a naturally shy and reserved person, but stepping out of my comfort zone has forced me to become more outgoing and willing to go after what I want.
What was your favorite meal?
There was one restaurant that we were all obsessed with called "Bod a B." It's just a simple sandwich shop but it tastes amazing! After discovering "Bod a B," we would visit it several times a week.
