Sibdas Ghosh, Ph.D.
Sibdas Ghosh is a gifted teacher, scholar and administrator with over 25 years of academic and leadership experience in higher education at public and private domestic and international institutions. He has promoted national initiatives, brought about institutional transformation, implemented innovative programs, enhanced student and faculty development, established community partnerships and enriched diversity.
Sibdas holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a MS in Crop Physiology from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. He is well published, with both personal and collaborative works, including 46 articles/chapters and 2 edited books, 60 percent of which are co-authored with his students.
Sibdas has made over 150 presentations at national and international conferences including the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR), Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities (SENCER), Posters on the Hill, and Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U).
Sibdas and his wife Jayati have a daughter, Taumoha who is in pediatric residency, and a son Moyukh who is in medical school.
