Hackathon at GaelVentures

Three students present their website. One stands to the left and two others stand on the right.
Their site is displayed on a big monitor in the middle.

Students are attentive as projects are presented at the end of the hacathon. The Computer Science Department organized a Hackathon where local high school students were invited to create a website for a non-profit organization, Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. The event took place on Saturday, April 14, at GaelVentures, the startup incubator space of the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation which is led by Founding Program Director Christoph Winkler, Ph.D. All participants successfully completed the mission to develop webpages for the Alzheimer’s Association following our strict rule, "There are no rules. It's hackathon!"

Students work in groups at tables throughout the space.
