Iona to be Represented at 2015 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference

Walter Squires, an Honors student working toward a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security, has been notified that his Honors Thesis research work, titled "Mobile Cross-Platform Security Analysis," has been accepted as a peer-reviewed Work In Progress (WIP) at the 2015 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) in Los Angeles, Calif., December 7-11. Walter will be presenting this work at the conference. This work has been submitted with and advised by Paolina Centonze, Ph.D., Walter’s Honors Thesis adviser.  

Dr. Paolina Centonze will be presenting a peer-reviewed full-day Research Professional Tutorial at ACSAC. The Professional Research Tutorial is titled "Security and Privacy Analysis for Next Generation Malware."
ACSAC is a top security conference according to the international ranking. Research work from Walter and Dr. Centonze contribute to the reputation of Iona's Cyber Security programs and to the NSA accreditation proposal for the Cyber Security concentration programs.
