Kathryn Kenny '20, a computer science student, was selected as a recipient of the 2018 Clare Boothe Luce (CBL) Research Scholars Program award at Iona College. Kathryn is also a student in the Iona College Honors Program and a recipient of a Presidential Scholarship. Kathryn is primarily interested in the study of software reliability, security and verification. Computer scientists use various software analysis techniques to understand software architecture and to improve the software quality. Among them, a core technology is to systematically transform software programs into better versions of themselves. The CBL Research Scholars Program will support Kenny in her research work on resolving existing flaws of the transformation techniques to improve software quality assurance.
