Turning Opportunities into a Flourishing Career

Josh Gitter

Self-taught in finance, recent Iona graduate, Joshua Gitter ‘18, took hold of his opportunities and turned them into a flourishing career. A computer science major, Gitter is now working full-time as a business analyst for IBM, which began as an internship and lasted for over two years while earning his undergraduate degree.

Iona's Computer Science Club is currently working on human-drone interaction projects (e.g., drones designed to navigate to people in emergency scenarios) using their new programmable drones. Students are not only learning valuable skills but are enjoying the experience as well!
