Dr. John Holland
Dr. Holland started at Iona College in 1963 after holding positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a Detroit bank. He received his Ph.D. (1972) from New York University. His primary research interest was the Banking Crisis of the Great Depression, and in 1988 he was elected to the New York Academy of Sciences. In addition to a longtime record of teaching, he also led the Economics department as chairman for many years. In 1994 Dr. Holland was named professor emeritus.
