Laura Shea, Ph.D.

Dr. Laura Shea has been a member of the faculty at Iona College since 1995. She is the author of A Moon for the Misbegotten on the American Stage, and her essays and reviews on topics in theater and drama have appeared in The Eugene ONeill Review, Theatre Journal, and American Theater Web, among others.  She is also the author of A Dying Fall, a mystery novel.

Dr. Shea teaches courses in Modern and Contemporary Drama, and she coordinates the internships for English majors. She has taught Writing in the Honors Program since 2000. Dr. Shea was the Faculty Speaker of the Year in 2010 and the chair of the English Department from 2009-2015.
