Dr. Buonanno Foley recently completed an online Certificate in Instructional Technology at the University of Maryland(Spring 2014). She has published extensively on teaching methodology, on literature and film, and organized several workshops on language performance and effective teaching activities. Professor Buonanno Foley has taught and created several classes of Italian language and cultural studies, and designed new seminars in Italian Autobiography, Women writers and Italian Identity and Made in Italy: A survey in Art, Fashion and Design, and a Seminar on Italian Contemporary Cinema. She has designed and conducted seminars on “Teaching through technology” and organized workshops in teaching Italian language and culture for language instructors, for which she obtained external sponsors.
Dr. Buonanno Foley is the 2012 recipient of the Faculty Instructional Technology Award for her innovative project entitled Italian Style: The One Stop Website for a New Learning and Teaching Experience.
