Dr. Lisa Evered has an MBA from Columbia University and a PhD from Teachers College/Columbia University. She has taught at all levels from elementary school to graduate programs, including international workshops at The University of Cape Town, South Africa, The University of Reykjavik, Iceland and The University of San Andreas in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Dr. Evered's professional accomplishments include extensive service to governments, schools, and teachers. She has conducted workshops for teachers in 17 countries, many under the auspices of the United States Peace Corps and as a Fulbright Senior Specialist. This international service also included program and curricular evaluation and consultation.
Of the 38 publications included in her bibliography, 6 have focused upon international programs. In addition, 18 publications have reported curricular and methodological innovations initiated in her classroom or by her students. Two publications are books, one of which, Statistics: A Search for Meaning, co-authored with her husband, Professor David W. Miller, is used in college classrooms.
