Dr. Naqvi is a certified school psychologist and a licensed psychologist in New York State. She graduated from The Graduate Center, City University of New York in 2012 with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and holds bilingual certifications in Spanish and French. Dr. Naqvi has worked as a bilingual school psychologist in New York City for more than 10 years working with children of all ages. Dr. Naqvi has worked as an adjunct instructor at Queens College and Iona College and was a visiting assistant professor for two years in the Early Childhood Special Education Program at Hunter College. Prior to coming to Iona, she was a consultant psychologist at the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a per diem psychologist at Northern Westchester/ Putnam BOCES. Dr. Naqvi’s research interests are in the identification and assessment of children with disabilities specifically Autism, in low and middle income countries. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists, American Psychological Association and the British Psychological Society.
