Dr. Penelope Moore teaches courses in Social Work Processes I and Field Instruction in Social Work I & II. Her research interests are in the areas of ethnogeriatrics in health and mental health care, family health history, bereavement in the African American community, diversity, and curriculum development in gerontology.

Dr. Susan D. Toliver specializes in the areas of multicultural diversity; family, especially work-family intersections; race and ethnic relations; sociological theory; and sex and gender studies. She has written about and researched U.S. families, particularly African American families, multicultural organizational development and other subjects.
