Iona College offers joint-degree and early acceptance programs at the undergraduate level to ready students for a career in law or the health professions (including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and more.)

Benefits of Joint Degree and Early Acceptance Programs

  • Qualified Iona College graduates have a guaranteed spot in Medical, Dental, Pharmacy or Law school and:
    • Do NOT have to take the MCAT/PCAT.
    • Do not have the stress and cost of applying to graduate schools senior year.
  • Can focus on their studies in senior year.
  • Have access to accelerated options that can reduce length of undergraduate time and tuition costs.
  • Iona College professors are experts in their fields and work with students to provide a hands-on experience that will prepare for the transition to a medical, health or law program, upon graduation.
  • The pre-health or pre-law advisor will assist students as they research careers and provide guidance on course selection, internships, and graduate school or professional programs application procedures.
  • Networking opportunities with alums and employers in areas related to a student’s interest.

Early Acceptance Programs

An early acceptance program (EAP) is a way for a student to guarantee a spot in medical school early on in his or her undergraduate career. The EAP is a great option for highly qualified students who are already dedicated to a career in the health professions.

Joint-Degree Program

Joint degree programs enable students with interdisciplinary interests to further their intellectual exploration and career objectives by pursuing two degrees simultaneously.

BA or BS/JD with Seton Hall Law School

Iona College and Seton Hall University Law School have created a combined admission program for undergraduate and law school, allowing talented incoming students to plan both their bachelor’s degree and studies in law.
