Summer Pre-College Program
Earn three college credits while still in high school... by exploring your future an as entrepreneur!
Iona College is excited to offer high school students the opportunity to explore one of the fastest growing college majors in the country – Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
This summer, prepare for your future in college by immersing yourself in a cutting-edge program that will help you develop the skills and confidence to become a leader in whatever field you choose to pursue as a career. You will learn how to move your creative new ideas from concept to execution.
The Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation has been established thanks to the generosity and record $15 million gift to Iona from James and Anne Marie Hynes. Mr. Hynes, who holds a BA and an honorary doctorate from Iona has been active in the Iona College community since his graduation in 1969.
Opportunity to work alongside other incredible students, talented faculty and passionate staff members. This two-week workshop will introduce you to design thinking. It will guide you on how to shape your concept into a compelling story, and translate that story into a digital format. You will immerse yourself in ideation, group collaboration, prototyping, elevator pitch development, all culminating in a final Design Challenge presentation.
Gain hands-on-experience that will prepare you to create, innovate, and lead in a global society in just two weeks of your summer.
Access to the brand new Hynes incubator space located on North Avenue, just across the street from our main campus.
July 9 - July 20 (Daily, Monday-Friday)
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Iona's Pre-College program is designed for high school students in good academic standing who demonstrate maturity and self-discipline. Students must be entering their junior or senior year of high school.
Program admission is determined through review of a completed application, essay, recommendation letter and transcript.
Iona's Pre-College program admits students on a rolling basis from March through June.

Tuition and Fees
The summer 2018 program fee is $2,995. This fee is all-inclusive.
Not only will you earn three college credits, but all program materials and daily lunch are included.
