I wanted that extra freedom that College can bring. >> MALE IONA STUDENT 2: Iona emphasizes becoming a better version of yourself. You're not known as a number to somebody, you're not known as oh that girl that was in my class. I'm known as Eileen. >> MALE IONA STUDENT 1:At Iona, you get that sense of community that bigger schools just don't have. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 1: I walk on campus and I see so many people that I know every day, so it definitely feels like a tight-knit community. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 2: It's amazing being with so many people in the same boat as you. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 1: I live with my best friends. I think Iona has a very good roommate selection process. There's a quiz you take where you fill out characteristics about yourself, and I think they did a great job because I'm still living with my freshman year roommate. >> MALE IONA STUDENT 1: Each student on campus is given a meal card. We get a specific amount on campus and off campus. We have our two dining halls LaPenta and Spellman. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 1: One of the great things about living on campus is that I'm so close to campus. Classes are right there and I'm very involved with extracurriculars on campus, so it's great to just be able to leave my dorm and immediately step into the activities. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 2: There's always a poster of different events that are on campus for any student by the sororities, the fraternities, the sports teams, the dance teams. >> MALE IONA STUDENT 1: I am in the improv group on campus. I am vice-president of the players. >> FEMALE IONA STUDENT 2: I'm in the Marketing Club. I'm involved with the Iona players, WICR, which is the radio station on campus, and also Gaelic society, and then the Honors Program. >> MALE IONA STUDENT 1: I think living on campus has been great because I can really get the feel of the campus, really get that college experience and be able to utilize all the college has to offer.
