Iona College is pleased to announce our transition to Handshake - a modern platform for recruiting college talent.
All full-time, part-time job opportunities and internships will be available to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni via Handshake beginning on Tuesday, June 26 2018.
Handshake is a comprehensive tool that allows employers to register with the Iona Center for Career Development (CCD), search for students across all the participating schools that use its network, sort perspective students by major, class year, skills, and more. Once registration is approved, employers can enter their current job or internship postings directly into Handshake, which can be accessed by our entire student body and alumni base.

On the Road with Career Development: Host students at your place of employment to offer professional perspectives on career options. Two options to consider:
If you are interested in hosting a site visit or job shadow program please complete the interest form.
Site Visits: Provide interactive experiences with students and professionals to learn about careers, workplace culture and insights into varied industries.
Job Shadowing: Designed to create opportunities to explore career disciplines and experience first-hand how classroom learning is tied to work expectations. Thus providing a richer experience for the student to understand the nuances of a particular job. Students are matched for a one-to-five-day experience with a professional shadow partner.
On-Campus Recruiting: Post your full-time position and screen seniors and graduate students on-campus during the fall and spring semester. Contact Career Development to schedule a recruitment date.
Resume Referral Program: Post your internship/job description through Career Development. Resumes are collected and forwarded to you for your review. You select qualified candidates you wish to interview at your site.
Information Sessions: Arrange an open presentation with students to discuss your organizations hiring needs.
Career and Internship Expo: Our Career Expo takes place every semester to recruit for internships and full-time professional positions. It is an excellent opportunity to meet qualified undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni. Increase your visibility on campus and build name recognition among potential applicants. We welcome and value our employer’s assistance in helping to prepare our students for a variety of recruitment activities. Employers assist Career Development with conducting mock interviews, serving as a career information panelist, preparing students for meeting employers at the career expo and interview/resume workshops.
