As an undergraduate majoring in marketing at Iona’s Hagan School of Business, Alana Irwin decided to fast track her career by entering the FastTrack MBA program. In just five years, she had the knowledge and skills in human resource management to hit the ground running. With a job in her field right out of graduate school, Alana is a recruiter today for financial giant JPMorgan in New York City.
Iona’s Fast Track MBA program enabled Alana to build on her undergraduate foundation in business while shaving 10 months off the length of a traditional MBA program. In addition to her MBA core courses, she focused her studies in human resource management, a concentration that prepared her for the challenges she would encounter in the corporate world.
Alana’s career success is due in part to the hands-on experience she gained at Iona and the outstanding faculty who guided her and opened doors along the way. Accredited by AACSB International, a distinction awarded to just 5 percent of business schools worldwide, the Hagan School of Business is nationally recognized for excellence, giving Alana the edge she needed in a competitive job market.
As a recruiter for JPMorgan, Alana works directly with global leaders in finance, often networking with Iona alumni, knowing that some of the best talent will come from her alma mater.
