When Helping a Friend in Need Reveals Life’s True Calling

Visit 50 years of women at Iona College site Kristina is a woman of exceptional character who approaches everything in life with strength and wisdom. After graduating Iona, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team, she went on to have a career as a successful supply chain executive with Airborne Express and Timex, and now runs her own business, Zoeva Logistics and Business Solutions LLC.

However, Kristina answered her true calling when she was inspired to help a friend deal with the tragic loss of his wife, Sonya Denise Dockett Nwachukwu. Together, they started CT Heights, a national basketball exposure team for underprivileged young women to honor her life and work. Kristina's work involves coaching and mentoring the players, while also helping them achieve college basketball scholarships. The fruits of her efforts are plentiful, and her devotion to her players’ success is evident. In fact, one of the girls on CT Heights just secured a scholarship with Iona College!

A proud Gael, she continues to exude a passion for life, as well as a passion for helping others.
