The faculty center in PeopleSoft is where you will find your grade rosters for each of your classes to be submitted to the registrar. These rosters will be generated a week before they are due. It is important to submit these rosters on time and accurately. Here is how to access and use them: Log into the MyIona Single Sign On portal and select the PeopleSoft icon to be brought to your PeopleSoft home page. Select Self Service from the menu. Find the grouping titled Faculty Center and click on the title. Select the grade roster icon in the row of the course you would like to see. Grade rosters will become available about one week before the grades are due. This will open the grade roster page for that specific class. There are several types of grade rosters during each semester. Make sure you select the one you wish to complete from the grade roster type drop down box. Use the drop down boxes next to each students name to select the appropriate grade for the student. Repeat this process for the entire roster. If you are looking to submit a grade of I, FA, or W, you cannot do so from the grade roster. In order to apply one of these grades you must contact the Dean’s office. Once you are ready, make sure you select the save button. It is important to understand this does not submit the grades to the registrars office. If you need to come back to finish entering grades or update them, you can. When you are ready and sure your grades are accurate, it is time to submit them to the registrars office. To do this, change the approval status dropdown to ‘Approved’. Then click on the save button again. This second save will submit the grades. If you want to confirm that you have completed the process successfully for submitting your grades to the registrars office, open up faculty center. From faculty center, there is a column named grade status. If it says Final Grade Input, you are not done and have not submitted them to the registrars office. If it says Final Approved, you are all set! To summarize here’s what to do: Log into PeopleSoft through the MyIona SSO. Go to the Self Service area. Go to Faculty Center. Select the grade roster icon for the class you wish to view. Fill in each student’s grades using the dropdown boxes and save. To submit grades to the registrar, change the status to Approved and click the save button a second time. The grade rosters for your classes will appear a week before they are due. Please make sure you enter your grades, save, and then change the status to approved and submit again in order to send them to the registrars office.
