After making your schedule, it may become necessary to remove a course. This can be done through a process called dropping a course. Lets take a look at how to drop a course. To drop a course, the first step is to go to Student Center in PeopleSoft. If you are unsure how to do that, check out our video on how to get to Student Center for detailed steps. From Student Center, click on ‘Enroll’ on the left hand side of the Academics area. Look at the top of the page, click on the tab named ‘Drop’. First, use the checkboxes on the left hand side to select the course or courses you wish to drop. An important note is that you cannot drop all of your courses, once enrolled, you must remain enrolled in at least one class. Also, if you are trying to drop a learning community course, you must select both courses in that community otherwise you will be given an error. When you are ready, click on ‘Drop Selected Classes’. On the confirmation page, read carefully and make sure you have selected the correct courses. When you are ready click on ‘Finish Dropping’. You will be brought to the results page. Pay attention to this page, there should be a green checkmark and a success message confirming that your drop has taken place. Congrats, you have successfully learned how to drop your enrollment in a course. To review: Select ‘Enroll’ from the Student Center in PeopleSoft. Select ‘Drop’. Select the course you wish to remove. Click ‘Finish Dropping’. Check the results to confirm you have successfully completed your drop.
