Commuter Housing

Have an early class? Is there a late-night campus event you want to attend?

The Office of Residential Life and Conference Services offer commuter students affordable overnight accommodations throughout the academic year to support academic success and involvement in campus co-curricular activities. Commuter Student Guest Housing is located in Rice Hall and is available throughout the academic school year, except on weekends and when the residence halls are closed for break periods. There is a two-night maximum stay for each visit.

General

Single-gender units have four twin extra-long beds, desks, chairs, closets and a sink in each room. Guests will utilize common area bathrooms which include showers, toilets, and sinks. Bed linens are not provided. Students should bring their own towels and toiletries as needed. 

Policies

  • Commuter Student Guest Housing is open to current Iona College students only.  
  • Reservation requests must be made at least five business days in advance of a planned stay. Please contact the Office of Conference Services at (914) 637-7790 for more information. Additional restrictions and requirements apply.
  • There are no weekend stays.
  • All guests must sign the Commuter Housing Agreement and abide by all terms and conditions. Failure to comply can result in eviction, fees, and/or being banned from future Commuter Student Guest Housing bookings.
  • Commuter Student Guest Housing is located in Rice Hall and all guests must check-in with their Iona College ID card.
  • The student will be billed for any room damages and/or missing keys.

Reservations/Cancellations

  • Check-in is at 4 p.m. Check-out is at noon.
  • Rooms will be inspected prior to check- in and after check-out to ensure no damages have been incurred.
  • Keys should be picked up from the Office of Conference Services (located in Driscoll Hall, top floor) during business hours (Monday - Friday,
    8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) on the day of guest check-in.
  • Guests are responsible for returning keys to the office by noon on the day of check-out. Failing to return or losing a key will cost $100.   

Payment

The cost is $40 per night and must be paid when contract is signed and executed. The student is responsible for any room damages and/or missing keys.
