International Student Orientation

Welcome to Iona College! We are excited that you have chosen Iona and look forward to meeting you at the New International Student Orientation in August.

International Students take part in Orientation programs from August 22 through August 24. The International Student Orientation on August 22 is where you will learn about many essential topics, including visa regulations and get to know other international students and the people who work with them. Later in the day, you’ll have a chance to become familiar with the surrounding area and purchase items for your living space. On August 23 and 24, your orientation experience continues with other First Year students for the Iona two-day orientation. Orientation activities run late into the evening on Thursday and start up again early in the morning on Friday. Fully engaging in orientation activities allows you to meet many other students and become more comfortably acclimated to the Iona campus community in a very enjoyable, fun way!

Parents / guardians are invited to take part in the August 22 International Student Orientation and the Family Orientation program on August 23.

Please be sure to let Caroline Coppola, the Coordinator for International Student Engagement know of your arrival plans.  If you are an athlete, you will probably be here for at least a few days before the orientations, but you are still required to participate in the orientations. If you are an incoming Residential Student every attempt will be made to accommodate you for move-in to your permanent housing assignment. If you have any questions prior to your arrival, please contact Caroline.

Register here for the International Student Orientation Session.

We are looking forward to meeting you and making your first days at Iona memorable!
