Meal Plan: Residential Students
Resident students, in Loftus, Rice, Conese, Hales and North Avenue Residence Halls and the Apartments at Eastchester, all participate in the full meal plan offered at Iona College. The meal plan is included in Room and Board charges for resident students. Participation in the full meal plan is mandatory for all on-campus residents and is part of your on-campus housing contract.
The meal plan points are divided into two declining balance flexible accounts.
Freshmen Resident Students receive 1,977 points per semester, divided into two distinct declining balance flexible accounts. They receive 1,477 Chartwells points and 500 North Avenue points.
Sophomore Resident Students receive 1,977 points per semester, divided into two distinct declining balance flexible accounts. They receive 1,327 Chartwells points and 650 North Avenue points.
Upper Class Resident Students also receive 1,977 points per semester. Upperclassmen receive 1,177 Chartwells points and 800 North Avenue points.
Residents in the Eastchester Apartments receive 1,150 points per semester. The split for Eastchester residents is 750 Chartwells points and 400 in North Avenue points. The option to select Upper Class or Sophomore Residents meal plan is also available.

Food and beverages purchased at College eateries with a meal plan are not subject to N.Y. State sales tax.
The second account, North Avenue, is to be used at participating off-campus restaurants. Food and beverages purchased at the off-campus locations are subject to N.Y. State sales tax.
Points which remain unspent at the end of the fall semester, roll over to the spring semester. Any points unspent at the end of the spring semester are forfeited.
The allocated points cannot be interchanged between Chartwells and North Avenue accounts.

Chartwells, On-Campus Meal Plan:
Gael Gold Premium Meal Plan: Add $ 2,000 to your resident meal plan and receive 600 Bonus Bucks!
Add $500 and receive 125 Bonus Bucks
Add $250 and receive 37.50 Bonus Bucks
Add $100 and receive 10 Bonus Bucks
Bonus Bucks may be used in any on-campus eatery.
North Avenue Meal Plan:
Gold Plan: For $500, open a meal plan with 500 points (or a multiple of 500 points) and receive an additional 25 points for each 500 increment. Increments can be added at any time during the semester but must be added in the full 500 amount to gain the additional 25. The meal plan enables students to choose to dine at three on-campus sites as well as off-campus eateries.
Example 1: Student pays $500, student has 525 points available to spend
Example 2: Student pays $1000, student has 1050 available to spend
Silver Plan: Open a meal plan with $250. Students may add to their plan in $50 increments throughout the academic year. The meal plan enables students to choose from three on-campus sites as well as off-campus eateries.
Maroon Plan: Open a meal plan account for as little as $100, and students may add to the plan in $50 increments throughout the academic year. The meal plan enables students to choose from three on-campus sites as well as off-campus eateries.
Adding Funds to Your Meal Card
To add funds to an existing meal plan using a debit or credit card, please click on the secure Meal Plan Payment link below. Any monies added via the Meal Plan Payment link will be posted to the student's meal plan account on the following business day by noon.
If you wish to add to your meal plan with a cash or check payment, please go to Student Financial Services, McSpedon Hall, 2nd floor. Monies will be added to the meal plan when the payment is received.
You may also download DineonCampus/Iona app on your phone and add points to your Chartwells plan only. The points will be posted to the student’s meal plan account on the following business day by noon.
All additional monies are added to the on or off-campus points accounts, depending upon your designation.
