Delta Theta Beta Sorority


Delta Theta Beta was founded in 1984 and has been flourishing on Iona’s campus ever since. Our diverse and fun-loving organization strives to encourage life long bonds rooted in our values of dedication, contribution, and individuality. Sisters have the opportunity to create and strengthen bonds with each other and our community through philanthropy, community service collaboration and co-sponsorship, as well as social events. Every sister brings her own strengths, personality and achievements to the organization and with the strong bond of sisterhood we are together able to push each other to be the best that we can be individually, academically and as an organization.



Every year as an organization we choose philanthropies to support which are meaningful to our sisters. This results in us holding a wide variety of events throughout the year, each one supporting a cause close to a sister’s heart. Some of the events we have held in the past supported The American Cancer Society, Caitlin Savio Foundation, Alzheimer’s research, and Westchester’s Miracle League. We also hold our Blood drive twice a semester, an important tradition kept since we were founded. This year we will be holding events such as Strawberries for Strength, and our first DTB & The Miracle League. This will be the second year we hold Strawberries for Strength, an event supporting cancer prevention and awareness and celebrating the memory and strength of those fighting cancer. DTB & The Miracle League will be Iona’s first whiffle ball tournament that will support Westchester’s Miracle League, which is a baseball league for special needs adults and children that was founded in 2006. We are excited to bring this event to campus this year and to get students involved in this great organization. We also hold a wide variety of activity hour events throughout the semester, keep an eye out for flyers and Facebook invites!


We hold member meetings every Tuesday at 9:30pm.
