Phi Gamma Chi
Phi Gamma Chi is a local sorority that is committed to enhancing religion, cultural awareness and diversity on and around the Iona University campus. Founded in 1988, the group has dedicated itself to service and cultivating ties to the campus and local communities.
Our Philanthropies
Phi Gamma Chi strives to raise awareness and funds for many philanthropies, including breast cancer and HIV/AIDS. The group has won several awards on campus, including Outstanding Greek Organization and Commitment to Mission.
Students interested in joining Greek Life participate in open recruitment in either fall or spring semesters.

I’m Amanda Farrell, your proud president of Phi Gamma Chi! I’m a fourth-year nursing student and have been part of this amazing sisterhood for all four years of college!!! I love being apart of this sisterhood and let me tell you, it’s been nothing short of incredible.
Being president is such an honor, and I can confidently say Phi Gamma Chi is more than just an organization, it’s truly a second home. We are filled with the kindest, most supportive, and downright inspiring group of girls you’ll ever meet.
