IONA

Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity – Iota Omicron Chapter

Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity was established at the College of Charleston in 1904 with seven founding members.  Founded on the principles of character, leadership, achievement, scholarship, service and most importantly a lifelong brotherhood.  In a little more than a century Pi Kappa Phi has grown to well over 100,000 initiated brothers and counting across the country.  There are currently chapters on 178 campuses nationwide with more to come. Pi Kappa Phi is the only Greek organization in the country to both own and operate its own philanthropy, Push America. Through this we aim to raise both money and awareness for people with disabilities.  We hold an annual Push America week of events in the spring culminating in a 24 hour plus bike-a-thon in the courtyard.  Last year through our efforts we raised $2,371 to add to a national total of $474,000.

In March of 2013 the Iota Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Phi was granted its charter here at Iona with 46 founding fathers.  We strive to be leaders not only on this campus but in the New Rochelle community and enhance the college experience of every brother.  Although relatively new at Iona we have already begun to leave our mark and will continue to do so.
