Welcome to the official home page of the Psychology Club here at Iona College. The meetings consist of planning upcoming events as well as discussions in various fields of psychology and how they relate to college students. Please read the mission statement in order to get a strong understanding of what the club is really all about.

Mission Statement:

The Psychology Club of Iona College promotes interest, learning, and advancement in the field of psychology. We hope to spread awareness about current issues and to create opportunities for members to further their participation in the field. We invite all students to join, whether Psychology majors or not!

Upcoming Events to get Psyched About!

  • Trip to the Fountain Gallery museum in NYC, which features artists living and working with mental illness to help pursue their personal visions.
  • A special presentation by YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities. YAI is an award-winning agency for people with developmental and learning disabilities. They present to our club each year about certain careers within the broad field of psychology and inform us about internships!
  • Iona professors discussing internship opportunities, as well as, career paths for students who are Psychology majors or minors
  • Community Service Activities
  • Club Meetings which center around major topics at Iona college and important features in the world of Psychology
  • Movie Night: A great night of bonding with fellow psychology peers and a viewing of a psych-related movie.
