Federal Work-Study Program (FWS)
The Federal Work-Study Program (FWS) is a federally-sponsored work program for students who demonstrate financial need. FWS earnings for hours worked are distributed in the form of a paycheck or direct deposit into your existing bank account, and cannot, therefore, be used toward tuition and fee charges.
Students who are not eligible for Federal Work-Study funding may be able to obtain part-time positions on-campus.
Obtaining a Position and Getting Paid
Iona College uses a web-based service
to help employers and students in the job posting and placement process.
With this tool, students will be able to:
Search for Work-Study jobs on line.
Receive automated email when preferred jobs become available.
Apply for jobs online.
We encourage students to review the Quick Reference Guide and to elect direct deposit of student employment earnings.
