Virtually all aspects of your life are impacted by public policy – the laws and regulations a government sets up in response to various issues. If you want to create change, having a solid understanding of public policy will open your eyes and open doors.
Why Study Public Policy at Iona?
You will work with closely with faculty who are industry professionals and have had a hand in creating, changing and analyzing public policies at various levels. Through network connections, you will have access to valuable internships where you can learn about public policy at a granular level.
If you are interested in going on to law school, we offer a combined admission program with Seton Hall University, allowing you to earn bachelor's and JD (Juris Doctor) degrees in an accelerated six-year program.
What You'll Learn
You will gain a well-rounded understanding on public policy from courses that cover the public policy process, administrative law, bureaucracy and more.
You will learn about policy from the perspective of different levels and branches of our government –from Congress to State and Local offices.
