The Shakespeare Newsletter is a scholarly journal published quarterly by the English Department at Iona College. SNL began publication in 1951, under the editorship of Louis Marder, and Iona became the publisher of SNL in 1991. Louis Marder's twelve-page issues have grown to twenty-eight or thirty-two pages, offering news, reviews of books and performances, abstracts, and brief critical articles on all aspects of Shakespeare, his works, and his world.
