Mock Trial Team

Iona University's Mock Trial team provides the chance to simulate real-life trials through team competitions against other colleges and universities.

Through these competitions, sponsored by the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA), students assume roles as attorneys and witnesses, prepare cases and simulate a trial which is presided over by a real-life judge. These competitions offer students the opportunity to nurture critical thinking and public speaking skills, and gain first-hand knowledge of legal practices and procedures.

The program stands as the only one of its kind and has created a strong legacy at Iona, not just one of competitive success for the college, but also through the lasting camaraderie among its active and alumni members!
