Five-Year Combined BA/MA Psychology Program

Industrial-Organizational Specialization

The BA/MA in Psychology allows students to streamline their education and complete the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology in just five years. Students may apply for program admission prior to the start of the Junior year. Once admitted, students take one or more graduate courses each semester while completing their other degree requirements. Following the proscribed course sequence, after four years, the student will have earned the credits necessary for the BA and will need only 21 additional credits to complete the MA degree.

Required Psychology Elective Courses

The BA in Psychology requires an additional 18 credits of undergraduate courses selected from the list of electives (15 credits) and capstone (3 credits) below. All BA/MA candidates, while undergraduates, also complete a maximum of 21 credits of the graduate courses (600-level) listed below. In order to complete the program within the five-year span, 21 graduate credits, including PSY 605 and PSY 649, must be taken while an undergraduate. The 600-level courses listed below count for both the BA and MA degrees:
