If you are looking to participate in a study abroad opportunity but need assistance financing it, there are a number of external organizations that offer scholarships and grants.
Below are select resources you can use when researching possible scholarship options.

Diversity Abroad Overseas Ambassador Scholarship
This scholarship allows undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds to travel anywhere in the world during the Spring, Fall, or Summer semester. All undergraduates planning to study abroad are encouraged to apply.
- Amount: $500
- Deadline for Summer & Fall Semester: June 1

This scholarship is eligible to any undergraduate student interested in study abroad. The scholarship requires an essay on the following topic: How would this scholarship help you make your dream come true?

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
This essay-based scholarship is for undergraduate students on Federal Pell Grants interested in studying abroad. More information about the essay prompt is available on the scholarship's website. Additionally, a copy of your transcript must be uploaded to the application.
- Amount: $5,000
- Deadline: October 6, 2020

Boren Awards
This scholarship is for students who are studying critical languages, International Affairs, Food Sciences, or taking summer STEM courses abroad. This scholarship may also cater to the financial needs of students in STEM fields studying abroad for a semester.
- Amount: $2,500 - $20,000
- Deadline: February 2021
Tortuga Backpacks Study Abroad Scholarship
Any undergraduate student enrolled at a U.S. institution is eligible to apply.
- Amount: $1,000
- Deadlines: April 15, 2020; November 15, 2020

Any undergraduate student who is a current or former Girl Scout is eligible for this scholarship.

Explore the World Travel Scholarships
Applicants must be undergraduate students between ages 18-30, a US citizen or a permanent resident, a current Pell Grant recipient and have a 2019 income level that does not exceed 300% of the 2019 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Winners must study abroad between May 1, 2021 and August 31st, 2022.

This essay-themed award is offered to students who exhibit a GPA 3.8 or greater, stellar non-academic achievements and financial need.
