Meal Plan

Your Iona College ID card serves as your meal card. The Meal Plan is maintained by the Business Services Office located in room 211 of McSpedon Hall. Participation in Iona College's meal plan program through the meal card system allows you the freedom to purchase what you want, when you want it and where you want it with no restrictions. The meal plan program is a user-friendly declining balance system of purchases and transactions that provides ease of use and ease of mind.

What's more, meal plan participation equals savings. Participating students will save on New York state sales tax of 8.375% on purchases at the on-campus dining locations. Remember, all sales at off campus eateries are taxable. Joining the meal plan is easy. Meal plan points equal dollars, and can be used at the four on-campus dining services locations and at the participating off-campus eateries.

Meal plans can be used throughout the school year, from the first day of the fall semester to the end of the spring semester or graduation day. Funds unspent at the end of the fall semester roll forward, but any funds which remain at the end of the spring semester are forfeited.

Meal plan funds may be used for the purchase of food items and non-alcoholic beverages only. Any student purchasing alcoholic beverages with Meal Plan funds will be adjudicated through the College Code of Conduct. Any establishment selling alcoholic beverages and/or non-food and beverage items using Meal Plan points will be removed from the College Meal Plan. Meal plan funds may not be used to purchase sundry items.

Students may request a receipt from all participating eateries. A receipt from any of the eateries will have the transaction amount and the remaining balance on the card. Requests for a transactional history of a student's account may be made at the Office of Business Services.

Students may be able to use excess scholarship, grant or loan money for their meal plans. Please speak with your Student Financial Services counselor to learn more.

How to Replenish Your Meal Card

  • You can purchase Dining Dollars in increments of $50. You will need to add money using the online payment link.

LOST CARDS may be replaced for a $10 fee at the Campus Safety Office located in the LaPenta Student Union.

The meal plan is maintained by the Business Services Office, located in McSpedon Hall, Room 211. Please contact Business Services promptly, at (914) 633-2122, to deactivate any lost ID card. Lost funds may only be replaced if the student has reported the Meal Plan card as lost to Campus Security and/or Business Services.
