James J. Coffey '54 Endowed Scholarship

Formerly of Hendersonville, NC and Marco Island, FL, Blanche and Jim had lived in Bentley Village since 2007.

Blanche was born on November 22, 1932, in New York City, NY, the  daughter of Al and Gerri Cascioli. She spent her professional life in administration at National Geographic Magazine in Manhattan. A devout Catholic, Blanche was a faithful parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and contributed her time and heart to many church activities. Her dedication to service extended to her community at Bentley Village, where she held numerous volunteer positions and was active on multiple committees, always offering her warmth, energy, and generosity.

Jim was born November 17, 1931 in New York, NY, the son of James J. and Sabina (Fox) Coffey.

Blanche also shared a deep love of travel with her late husband, James J. Coffey, with whom she explored the world. James preceded her in death in 2014. Mr. Coffey's career was with American Tobacco Company, where he worked 30 years. He volunteered with many civic organizations and also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid golfer.
