Justin's Wings of Hope Foundation Endowed Scholarship

The Justin's Wings of Hope Foundation Endowed Scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Justin Samela Miceli. Justin was a popular sophomore at Iona when his life was tragically cut short in 2007. A life-long resident of New Rochelle, NY, Justin's passion for life was exhibited on a daily basis in a desire to help others and was evident through the love he shared with both family and friends. An outstanding student, Justin was also a devout member of Holy Name parish, a dedicated Eagle Scout, and a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Justin was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of everyone he met. His memory lives on through members of his cherished family and friends, and the greater community in which he touched many people. In celebration of his life, the values that he treasured and his passion for "making a difference" in the lives of others a scholarship has been established in his memory for students who exemplify the values of friendship, strength, compassion, and inspiration that Justin brought to others.
