Course & Program Recommendations

When preparing to meet with your assigned Academic Advisor, review the different Majors and the courses you may be advised to take. Look up course descriptions and note the kind of content you are studying. You are creating a balance of five courses on average, with a blend of skills being used, Reading, Writing, Analysis, and Problem Solving.

MATH, SCIENCES, COMPUTER SCIENCE PLACEMENT

Placement is tied to a planned major, or status in the Honors program.

If you have struggled with math, you may need a transitional course on the way to the math course required for a planned major. Additionally, these majors require a strong background in lab experience as well as some experience in computer science in general. All of these areas are also built upon a strong math background, where calculus is required.
