PeopleSoft Instructions for Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Iona College!  Welcome to the Iona community…where your life as a Gael is about to begin!

Please sign in to our student information system known as PeopleSoft using the id and password information you received from Admissions.  Below are instructions for navigating PeopleSoft.

Welcome to the Iona College community!

Your PeopleSoft Computer ID and Password are case sensitive.

Your PeopleSoft Password expires every 60 days.  Your password must be a minimum of eight characters and include at least one number and one special character. You cannot re-use the same password.

If you do not change your PeopleSoft Password within 60 days you may receive a screen stating “Your Password has expired” when you Sign In to PeopleSoft

  • Click on the link “Click here to change your password”.
  • Enter your current password and press Tab
  • Enter your new password and press Tab
  • Enter your new password a second time.
  • Click OK.
  • Open your web browser.
  • In the Address box type in http://www.iona.edu/peoplesoft
  • Click on the Accepted Students Login link.
  • Enter your Computer ID in the User ID box and press the Tab key. Enter your Computer Password in the Password box. Please remember your Computer ID and Password are case sensitive.
  • Click Sign In.
  • Sign in to PeopleSoft
  • From the PeopleSoft Home page click on My System Profile
  • Click on Change or setup forgotten password help
  • Enter your own question or choose a predefined one by clicking on the drop down arrow to the right
  • Enter your answer in the response box and click OK
  • On the General Profile Information screen review your Home email address.  If the email address is incorrect, please contact Admissions.
  • From the PeopleSoft sign-on screen click on Forgot Your Password?
  • Enter your User ID and click Continue
  • Enter the response to your forgotten password question
  • Click Email New Password (click only once)
  • Forgotten password will not work unless Setup forgotten password help was completed.

To better serve you in the event of an emergency or any other important event, it is important that your contact information in PeopleSoft is correct. Please take a few minutes to verify that your name, address and home/work/cell telephone numbers are accurate in PeopleSoft. We ask that you add an emergency contact person in PeopleSoft.

Please take a minute to review your home address information:

  • Sign in to PeopleSoft
  • In the upper right hand corner click on Home
  • Select Self-Service
  • Select Campus Personal Information
  • Select Addresses
  • Review your home address information. If you live in an apartment building, please make sure the apartment number is included at the end of your street address. If the address is incorrect, please contact Admissions.

Please take a minute to review the spelling of your name:

  • Sign in to PeopleSoft
  • In the upper right hand corner click on Home
  • Select Self-Service
  • Select Campus Personal Information
  • Select Names
  • Review the spelling of your name.  If your name is incorrect, please contact Admissions.

Please take a minute to review the phone number we have on file for you:

  • Sign in to PeopleSoft
  • In the upper right hand corner click on Home
  • Select Self-Service
  • Select Campus Personal Information
  • Select Phone Numbers
  • Review the phone number.  If your phone number is incorrect, please contact Admissions.
  • Sign in to PeopleSoft
  • In the upper right hand corner click on Home
  • Select Self-Service
  • Select Campus Personal Information
  • Select Emergency Contacts
  • Click on Add an Emergency Contact
  • In the box next to Contact Name type in the full name of your Emergency Contact.
  • Select the contact person’s Relationship to you from the drop down menu.
  • If the contact person lives at the same address as you, click the Same Address as Individual box located in the Contact’s Address section.  
  • If the contact person has a different address, click on Edit Address link. Type in the Contact person’s address. Please be sure to include City, State, and Postal. If the contact person lives in an apartment building, please include the apartment number at the end of their street address on the Address 1 line. Click OK.
  • If the contact person has the same phone number as you, click the Same Phone as Individual box located in the Contact’s Phone section. 
  • If the contact person has a different phone number, click in the box next to Phone in the Contact’s Phone section. Type in the contact person’s phone number. Please be sure to include area code. Press the Tab key.
  • If you would like to include a second phone number for your Emergency Contact person, click Add a Phone Number. Select the Phone Type (i.e. Cellular, Work) from the drop down list. Click in the Phone Number area and type in the phone number including area code. Press the Tab key.
  • Click Save
