June Student Schedule
8:30 a.m.
Student Orientation Registration & Check-In
Location: Mulcahy Gym
Welcome to Orientation! Check in to receive your Orientation name tag and a welcome backpack filled with important information (and fun giveaways). Next,OLs will escort you to the student breakfast to join your Orientation Group.
8:30-10 a.m.
Breakfast for Students and Meet Your OL and Group
Location: Mulcahy Gym
Help yourself to breakfast as you enter. Join your group at your designated table. Small group formal discussions will begin at 9 a.m. Get to know the other students in your group and learn more about your orientation leader.
10 a.m.
Orientation Leaders will guide you to your next session.
10:05-10:45 a.m.
Welcome to Gael Nation
Location: Upper Gym, Hynes Athletics Center
An opportunity to formally welcome the Class of 2030 and all incoming new students! While this is a joint session for students and families, students will be sitting with their Orientation groups.
11-11:55 A.m.
Maroon: The Gaels uMeet: What Every College Student Needs to Know!
Location: Hynes Athletics Center
Learn about yourself and your new classmates all while having a great time! Facilitated by Collegiate Empowerment and your OLs.
Gold: Get Connected
Location: Various Campus Computer Labs, Assigned by Group
Join your group in setting up your online community at Iona. Learn what you need to remain connected. Students will sign up for the Iona emergency text messaging system, enter emergency contact information in PeopleSoft, learn where to access financial statements, and more.
11:55 a.m.-Noon
Student groups switch sessions.
Noon-1 p.m.
Gold: The Gaels uMeet: What Every College Student Needs to Know!

2:15-3 p.m.
Next Steps & Wrapping It Up with Killian
Location: Hynes Athletics Center
Students will review the next steps to prepare for fall! The day will end with a group activity, competition, prizes and give-aways! Take your Orientation group picture.
3:30-5 p.m.
Or following the conclusion of the previous session.
Iona Gael New Student & Family Reception
Location: LaPenta School of Business Atrium
All new students and families taking part in the Orientation session are welcome!
Information Sessions and Cohort Receptions will be held throughout the LaPenta School of Business. Speak with representatives from Residential Life, Commuter Life, Gael Service, Club Sports, Spirit & Performing Arts & more!

Late tours departing from the LaPenta School of Business Atrium.
