Meeting Minutes
Thursday, April 7, 2022, 12 p.m.

College Council Standing Committee Updates

College Council
General Assembly 4/6/22 President Carey and Provost Wheeler discussed many of the things they covered at the Town Hall the previous week.  Middle States accreditation went smoothly, haven’t received the report back, but everything was approved without required changes.  Faculty asked about workload, and if it was being looked into.   (Reported via email by A. Academic Affairs
Next meeting next week nothing new to report

Athletics
No member to present report. Brian Beyrer mentioned no current challenges.

Budget
Anne Marie Schettini Lynch has resigned.  Kevin O’Sullivan from Admissions was a guest at meeting to review Admissions outlook.  1st accepted students day they had > 300 turnout and expect 4/23 to be even bigger. Still too early to tell if they will make the anticipated enrollment.  Discussed Club sports and the success of Esports and how they want to expand. Next meeting to discuss the 5yr plan.  (Reported by A. Scaccia)

Diversity
Spring event not coming together, due to not being about to find a speaker. May postpone until the fall.  (Reported by A. LoPresti).

Not meeting yet since Bryan Davis joined the committee.

Libraries and Information Technology
Software requests went out to Faculty to provide IT with name and location of software needed for Summer/Fall.   (reported by J. Rosenberg)

Student Life
No Report given.

Old Business

1. SAC Elections- in progress. Contacting Nominees for their acceptance.
2. Facilities to install gates in Beechmont parking lot and other areas around campus to correct issues with cars entering and existing incorrectly.

New Business

1. Pulse of the College- Covid numbers are up among staff and faculty, be safe. Suggestion that Loftus Dinner be moved to a Friday.  Discussed it would be harder financially and with availability due to venue having other engagements on Fridays.
