IBM SPSS Statistics

Instructions on downloading IBM SPSS Statistics Premium for home use.

  1. Go to www.iona.edu/workorder
  2. Sign in using your Iona College computer id and password.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen click on Downloads
  4. Select the MAC version of SPSS 27
  5. Print the page or copy the Product Key information.
  6. Click on Download
  7. Save File
  8. Click the newly downloaded program to run the file (.pkg)
  9. Click “Continue” on the Welcome screen of the installer
  10. Click “Continue” on the Software License Agreement
  11. On the window that drops from the top select “Agree”
  12. Click on “Continue” on the Destination window
  13. Click on “Install” on the next step.
  14. Insert credentials on the pop window.  These credentials are the same credentials used to unlock the machine.
    NOTE: after this step a few windows will open and some icons will appear on the bottom dock.
  15. The License Status will open.  You will select “Next”.
  16. The Product Authorization will open.  Here you will have two options to authorize/activate.  Select the top option which should be already selected by default. “Authorized user license”.  Click next
  17. On the “Enter Codes” window, you will input the code provided, then click “Add”.
  18. Once added, click on “Next”
  19. On the next window you will see a brief authorization process with black and green log messages.  Once you see them click “Next”
  20. Once this is done, you will just have to select “Close” on the first window we had open in the beginning of the process.
  21. The process is now Completed.
  22. You may open “Launchpad” and you can now look for the SPSS application.
  23. Done.

  17. On the Product Authorization Screen make sure Authorized User Licenses is selected
  18. Click on Next
  19. Paste or type in the Product Key Information from Step 5 into the Enter Code box and press Add
  20. Click Next

Maplesoft 2020

Information on how to download a copy of Maplesoft 2020 for home use.

  1. Go to www.iona.edu/workorder.
  2. Sign in using your Iona College computer id and password.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen click on Downloads.
  4. Select the Windows version of Maple 2020.
  5. Print the page or copy the Product Key information.
  6. Click on Download.
  7. Save File.
  8. Display Downloads or go.
  9. Run the .pkg file (Installer).
  10. An Installer window will appear.  This window will have three files.  Select: “Maple2020.1MacInstaller.”
  11. The installer might ask for the credentials you use to unlock your apple machine.
  12. On the Maple 2020 installation click on “Next.”
  13. On the License Agreement select “I accept the agreement” and click on “Next.”
  14. Click next on the Installation Directory.
  15. On the next screen, select “Single User License” and click on “Next.”
  16. On the Check for Updates, leave the default options and click “Next”. Note: An information updates pop-up will come up, you can let this run and close when it finishes.
  17. The next screen will show a summary of the installation process. Here just select “Next”.  (The installation process will start)
  18. The completing setup wizard will appear.  There should be an option checked that says: “Activate Maple 2020 now (requires an internet connection)”.  Check this option if it’s not selected.
  19. Click on “Finish.”
  20. The MapleSoft Activation window will open.  This window will have a few steps.
  21. First Input the Key/Code provided.
  22. There will also be an option saying “Activating behind a proxy server?”, select “No”.  Then click “Next.”
  23. Input your information (First Name, Last Name and E-mail address).
  24. Select both options at the bottom and click “Next.”
  25. A prompt will open saying “Activation Successful Click “Ok” to exit. (Click ok).
  26. You may now open Maple 2020 from the Launchpad.

  5. Print the page or copy the Product Key information
  6. Click on Download

  10. If prompted to allow this app to make changes, click on yes
  11. Click on Next
  12. Make sure the radio button next to I accept the terms in the license agreement is selected
  13. Click on Next

  15. Make sure the radio button next to Yes for a desktop short cut is selected
  16. In the Choose the Type of Licensing screen, select Single User License
  17. Click on Next
  18. Make sure the radio buttons next to Enable periodic updates and check for updated now is selected
  19. Click on Next
  20. Click on Next
  21. On the Product Authorization Screen make sure Authorized User Licenses is selected
  22. Click on Next
  23. Paste or type in the Product Key Information from Step 5 into the Enter Code box and press Add
  24. Click Next

ChemDoodle 3D

System Requirements

  • Windows Vista/7/8/10+, macOS 10.11+ (El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina or more recent), or Linux.
  • A 64 bit system is required (all modern systems are 64 bit).
  • ChemDoodle 3D requires OpenGL v2 drivers.
  • A minimum of 1GB of memory.
  1. Go to www.iona.edu/workorder.
  2. Sign in using your Iona College computer id and password.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen click on Downloads.
  4. Select the MAC version of ChemDoodle 3D.
  5. Click on Download.
  6. Save File.
  7. Click the newly downloaded program to run it. A window will appear asking you to move the ChemDoodle3D folder to Applications. Do this by opening Applications (Go  Applications) and dragging the ChemDoodle3D folder from the window into Applications.
  8. Double click the ChemDoodle3D folder in Applications to open the folder. Then double click the ChemDoodle3D application file to run it and press “Open” when prompted to open the app.
  9. A license agreement will appear. Press “Accept.”
  10. The program will then ask you to activate your license. Click the “retrieve it here” link to obtain your site license code.
  11. You will be redirected to a website, where you should input your Iona email address and press “Get License Codes.” You will see a confirmation on the screen saying the code has been mailed to your Iona email address.
  12. Check your Iona email to retrieve the Site license code. Copy and paste the code into the 4 boxes provided in the ChemDoodle3D activation window. Then press “Verify.”
  13. Once ChemDoodle3D has finished activation, press “Open ChemDoodle 3D” to launch the program.

  4. Select the Windows version of ChemDoodle 3D.
  5. Click on Download.
  6. Save File.
  7. Display Downloads or go to your download’s directory.
  8. Click on the .exe file.
  9. If prompted to allow this app to make changes, click on yes.
  10. Follow the steps in the installation window to complete setup: press “Next” and then “Install.”
  11. Wait until the program finishes installing. When it prompts you to open ChemDoodle3D now, press “Yes.”
  12. A license agreement will appear. Press “Accept.”
  13. The program will then ask you to activate your license. Click the “retrieve it here” link to obtain your site license code.
  14. You will be redirected to a website, where you should input your Iona email address and press “Get License Codes.” You will see a confirmation on the screen saying the code has been mailed to your Iona email address.
  15. Check your Iona email to retrieve the Site license code. Copy and paste the code into the 4 boxes provided in the ChemDoodle3D activation window. Then press “Verify.”
  16. A window for Filetype Association will appear. Press “Continue.”
  17. Once ChemDoodle3D has finished activation, press “Open ChemDoodle 3D” to launch the program.
