Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society
Delta Epsilon Sigma is a national scholastic honor society for colleges and universities in the Catholic tradition.
Each fall, Iona faculty nominate their highest achieving students, not exceeding 5% of the total number of graduating seniors in their respective majors. These students also demonstrate the characters of service and responsibility.
As Delta Epsilon Members they are eligible to compete for writing awards and scholarships. They also participate in service projects and support scholarly programs sponsored by Heritage Week and the Catholic Intellectual Committee.
Induction to Delta Epsilon Sigma occurs on campus every March.
Eligibility
To be eligible for membership in the Society, candidates must be persons who:
- Have a record of outstanding academic accomplishment;
- Have shown dedication to intellectual activity; and
- Have accepted their responsibility of service to others.
