Iona in Mission
Iona in Mission provides immersion experiences, both within the U.S. and abroad, for students, staff, and faculty of Iona University. These journeys create space to move away from a culture of indifference, encounter diverse cultures, and engage in service alongside communities experiencing poverty and marginalization. Immersion trips are offered during winter, spring, and summer break. Upon returning to Iona, participants share their experience and the social reality of the host communities to foster action and deepen relationships of solidarity.

- Reflect and grow through service, spirituality, and community
- Embody the mission and values of Edmund Rice
These optional service and leadership programs for incoming first-year students take place during the summer. You will explore the University's mission, values, and traditions through service projects, meetings with current student leaders and staff, and fun activities!
