My Iona

Faith-Sharing, Worship & Spirituality

The Office of Mission & Ministry seeks to serve students of all faith traditions. We are dedicated to building a community of faith and compassion.

Being a student Campus Minister has introduced me to amazing mentors, organizations, communities and individuals who I carry with me in all that I do. My favorite part of the role is bringing service, faith, spirituality and community to the student body.

Bible Study

You are invited to join in on discussions about life as a college student!
Some of our topics include:

  • What motivates you?
  • What holds you back from happiness?
  • Does God hold a significant place in your life?
  • Who is God to you?
  • What are your relationships like?
  • Are you who you really want to be?
  • Do you get answers to your prayers?
  • What about forgiveness?
  • How generous am I?
  • What are your gifts?

These questions and more are discussed on-campus during the week. Sometimes, readings are themed according to the Church calendar, or by other topics raised by students. Information on the meeting place and time for Fall 2020 will be announced early in the semester. All are welcome!

Do you want to get confirmed or baptized? You've come to the right place!

The Iona University Office of Mission & Ministry is dedicated to building a community of faith and compassion.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is an ancient process of instruction and initiation which was restored to our Church after the Second Vatican Council in order to provide adults with the opportunity of becoming Catholic or to prepare someone who has not yet received the sacraments of Confirmation or Eucharist. The RCIA is an opportunity to make a spiritual journey with others and to learn what it means to be Catholic in today's society.
