SUMMER/FALL 2026 New Student Orientation
We are excited to welcome our newest Gaels! All new first time and transfer undergraduate students entering Iona Fall 2026 are expected to complete all three parts of the 2026 New Student Orientation.

Part 1: June 2026 one-day on-campus session for students and families.

Part 2: Summer online modules and submission of necessary material prior to Thursday, August 20, 2026 at noon.

Part 3: August 2026 New Student Welcome Weekend!
Move-In and Welcome Weekend 2026
Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, 2026
New Student Welcome Weekend Waiver and Attendance
- All incoming first-year and transfer students check your email for the link to your Move-In and Welcome Weekend Waiver to complete prior to August 20, 2026.
- All new first-time students are required to attend both Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23 2026 Welcome Weekend activities.
- All incoming transfer students are strongly encouraged to attend both days of Welcome Weekend.
- All incoming residential students are required to attend Friday, August 21, Move-In night meetings. Incoming commuter students are welcome to attend. Anyone participating in the Move-In night activities must complete the Welcome Weekend waiver.
- Visit the website for the full schedule* for Move-In and Welcome Weekend 2026 (schedules and event details are subject to change).
- In addition to completing your waiver, be certain to complete your Vector Solution Orientation modules prior to Thursday, August 20.
- First-year and transfer students will receive an email on Thursday, August 20, with their Meet Your Orientation Leader (OL) Group and Room Assignment and additional Welcome Weekend information.

Our Orientation Staff
Here at Iona, our orientation staff is made up of professional orientation coordinators as well as a group of Orientation Leaders.
Our orientation coordinators help manage the day to day operations of Orientation. Our coordinators are there to assist and aid families through the registration process, answer any questions and guide families in the right direction.
Our Orientation Leaders play a crucial role in assisting new students and families. Orientation Leaders help new students and their families transition into the college experience and are here to answer any questions that you may have about Gael Nation!
