All incoming students must take part in the orientation sessions to best prepare for the year ahead.

1. Live Orientation Kick-Off

2. CDS 1195 Summer Orientation Course

Iona looks forward to welcoming all our newest Gaels at New Student and Family Orientation! The safety and well-being of our students has always been Iona’s top priority. As such, we will be offering a robust online Orientation program beginning in June and running through the start of classes. The College will continue to monitor conditions related to COVID-19 and we look forward to bringing new students together in person as soon as it is safe to do so.

The New Student Orientation program will launch in a virtual platform. There are multiple parts of the Orientation program.

Incoming students must log into PeopleSoft to register for their free 1-credit required Orientation course which will meet weekly via Zoom beginning the week of June 22, 2020. The course will meet virtually once a week for one hour and run through the week of August 7, 2020. For additional information, please read these instructions on how to register for the free 1-credit Orientation course, review the instructions that have been sent to your email or contact the Center for Advising and Academic Services.

3. New Student Welcome Days- August 8 and 9 have been RESCHEDULED

The components of Welcome Days activities for incoming freshmen and transfer students scheduled for August 8 & 9 will be rescheduled. There will NOT be any required sessions this weekend. Please disregard prior communications. Modified schedules of future meetings will be communicated via email to incoming students. There will be optional social welcome activities in the evening of the 8 and 9, a virtual welcome session the week of August 10, and in-person Orientation cohort meetings the week of August 17 during the activity hours.
